I’ve decided to post up a list of 100 things about myself so you can get to know me. I’ve recently noticed this as a common blog topic and thought it would be fun. So, here ya go… 100 things about me!

1. My nicknames are Shan (friends), Shanny-Poo (mom), Doobie (sister) and Boo Boo (my nieces and nephews)
2. I grew up sitting in front of the television.
3. I’m a horrible cook. However, I make delicious scrambled eggs and buttered toast!
4. I don’t collect trinkets, dolls, etc. Only pieces of jewelry…
5. My favorite teacher in elementary school was Mrs. Armstrong.
6. I live in the town people refer to as “Mayberry”, Andy Griffith’s hometown.
7. I only speak English. I took Spanish for 3 years. Go figure.
8. I hate watching anything in black & white (except for the first part of Wizard of Oz).
9. I have a younger brother and older sister. (Yes, I’m the middle child!)
10. I’m right-handed.
11. Every time I shave my legs, I cut myself.
12. I have brown eyes.
13. My favorite color is pink.
14. I have at least 50 pocketbooks. My favorite is my new Coach.
15. I worry about everything. No, really, I do.
16. I love the way a new car smells.
17. I cry at weddings.
18. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory scared me as a child (and as a grown-up).
19. My first job was at McDonald’s. I loved that job!
20. I talk “baby talk” to my animals, but not my son.
21. I’m more geeky than girly…
22. I’m the shortest adult in my family.
23. I have a fear of sharks and would never, ever, ever get into the ocean or go on a cruise. Ever!
24. I hate to watch Soap Operas. I find them very annoying…
25. I can shoot a bow and I like to go hunting.
26. I don’t mind going fishing but I refuse to get the fish off the hook.
27. I love to take pictures.
28. My niece looks more like me than her parents.
29. I love ice cream but it does not love me back! I am lactose intolerant.
30. I have NEVER smoked a cigarette.
31. I had perfect attendance K-12.
32. I still hold a grudge against my mother for cutting my bangs too short in the 5th grade. Not really. Well, kinda…
33. I am afraid of the dentist. I still go, but I don’t like it!
34. My favorite drink is Diet Mountain Dew. This is just one thing I refuse to give up!
35. I sing in my car (unless I have a passenger).
36. I love scary movies.

38. My favorite season is Fall.
39. I hate being tickled.
40. I’m addicted to lip balm.
41. I love to give gifts.
42. My driver’s license picture is not that bad.
43. My favorite group in high school was New Kids on the Block. Don’t laugh!
44. I am easily amused.
45. I frequently lose my car in the mall parking lot.
46. At work, I’m an over-acheiver. At home, I’m a total slacker!
47. I recently discovered a gray hair. It was terribly upsetting.
48. I don’t like coffee or beer. Yuck.
49. I sucked my thumb until I was 8 years old.
50. I get together with my mom and siblings every Sunday.
51. I sometimes use my fingers to add. I’m not proud of this.
52. I love to sleep. Sadly, I never get enough.
53. The only musical instrument I play is the radio.
54. I don’t understand golf.
55. My first car was a 1990 Ford Mustang. I called it the “FUNTANG”.
56. I purposely set all of my clocks fast. None of my clocks have the real time.
57. I love eating cereal for dinner. Easy and delicious.

59. I say I don’t care what people think about me but that is not true. I really do care.
60. I commute over 1 hour to work.
61. I drink way too much caffeine.
62. I’ve been working since I was 14 years old.

64. I love watching commercials. Weird, I know.
65. I do not like spicy food and I hate when my boyfriend tries to make me try it.
66. My middle name rhymes with my sister’s middle name. mine- Lynette. Hers-Yvette.
67. I don’t drink enough water.
68. I read Consumer Reports before making major purchases.
69. I’m full of useless trivia.
70. I mostly dream in color.
71. I love watching crime shows.
72. I love when it rains at night. I sleep soooo much better.
73. I snore, or so I’ve been told…
74. I have a hard time saying “no” to people.
75. I must wax my eyebrows or they look like fuzzy caterpillars.
76. I used to love amusement parks. Now…not so much.
77. I love going on vacation with my family.
78. I feel guilty for sometimes putting my job first. I should never do it, but I do.
79. I love babies. I sometimes wished I could have another.
80. I love to “chomp” on ice.
81. I was once attacked by a bird. I think birds are secretly out to get me.
82. I’m very clumsy. VERY!
83. I don’t drink alcohol.
84. I have a strange obsession with all things ‘office supplies’. I know at least 2 others with this obsession!
85. I once blacked by sister’s eye, but not on purpose.
86. I like going to flea markets and thrift stores.
87. For some reason ever member of my family calls the remote control a “trigger”. I have no idea why.
88. I like brussel sprouts. So does my son.
89. I love popping bubble wrap.
90. I eat peanut butter by the spoon fulls.
91. When I was young, I cut my brother’s eyelashes off so we could make lots of wishes.
92. I secretly take pleasure in reading celebrity gossip and watching reality tv. Shhhhh….
93. I still watch cartoons. I miss Saturday mornings.
94. I always want to know “why?” It is important for me to know details.
95. My father died when I was 3 years old.
96. I can’t sleep late. My body just won’t let me. Ugghh…
97. I don’t like having my picture taken.
98. I talk too much.
99. I like my “quiet” time.
100. I think this list was way harder than I thought. Fun though…
